Founded in Penn Yan in 2024, Tom Plan Law, PLLC concentrates on state criminal defense in Yates, Steuben, Ontario, Wayne, and Monroe Counties. Tom is regularly in court for contested trials and evidentiary hearings, and he counsels people under criminal investigation before any charge is brought.

Criminal defense is my passion and my duty. Imagine your liberty on the line: you against the government. Yes, you have rights. But do you have counsel who will give them force?

Educated and trained in the United Kingdom, I came to the Finger Lakes in 2021 as a volunteer with the Yates County Public Defender's Office. There, I conducted trials and hearings in serious felony cases.

In 2024, I opened my own law office on Main Street in Penn Yan. In a short time, I have won favorable verdicts and dismissals in cases ranging from assault to enterprise corruption, and from endangering to sex offenses. In almost every case, my office works alongside seasoned investigators, scientific and medical experts, and mentors and co-counsel.
